A MESSAGE FROM Nicola and Emme Reasoner’s Fundraising Page
As anyone who has spoken to either of us over the past few years knows, there are two things that we love more than anything: running and our Grandad. 

In 2019 we lost our Grandad, due to a melanoma. He was diagnosed in 2015 and was offered a chance to try a new therapy called immunotherapy which he was told might stop the cancer from spreading and even get rid of what was already there. Given his love for life, he jumped at the opportunity to get rid of his cancer and keep spending time with his family. Thanks to cancer research, he was able to live happily for 5 more years. 

We are super excited to run the Chicago Marathon in honor of our Grandfather and hopefully help other families get extra time with their loved ones due to melanoma research breakthroughs that come from this funding.
