A MESSAGE FROM 🏃Running for a Cure: Join Me in the TCS NYC Marathon for Cystic Fibrosis! 🏃
"I have spent the last 20 years of my life trying to hide this side of me, but am coming to the harrowing realization that the disease will catch up to me at some point, and concealing it will be futile. As I am already running from the truth, why not run an extra 26.2 miles before I am no longer able to?"
My name is Joe Adderley and I am thrilled to announce that I will be participating in the iconic TCS NYC Marathon this year, and I am dedicating every step of those 26.2 miles to the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
I have long had the dream of running a marathon, but the idea was always a daunting one. As someone who battles CF everyday, this cause is incredibly close to my heart and I am honored to be running on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic Fibrosis is a challenging and relentless genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. But with the incredible work of organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, there is hope for a brighter future. Their dedication to funding research, providing vital resources, and advocating for those with CF has made a profound difference in countless lives, including my own.
As I lace up my running shoes and hit the streets of New York City, I am asking for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with CF. Your generosity will fund groundbreaking research, support families in need, and ultimately, bring us one step closer to finding a cure.
I would be so humbled if you joined me in this journey towards a world where CF stands for "Cure Found".
Thank you!
