I like people, I like to run and I like to travel.
This adds up to a life where I travel with friends, running marathons and half marathons, in support of vulnerable children and their education. I am passionate about creating an environment where quality education combats that vulnerability. It enables them to thrive, enables them to dream, to find what they love and how to make that possible for themselves.
Just the other day, The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT)’s scholarship team was working in the field and had a horrible car accident (see pics above). We were incredibly fortunate that the entire team walked away alive with limited injuries.
That said, our car was totalled, and our work is now limited. Insurance and the logistics around replacing our office car is a nightmare and will not cover what is needed for a new, safe car that allows TFFT’s staff to do the incredible work they do.
In just a few days (next Sunday) I will be running the Berlin marathon with a group of fabulous women who are also committed to supporting the work TFFT does. My financial goal with this race is to raise $5,000. This will put us in a much better place to replace the TFFT car and get our team back on the road, in schools, villages and supporting the important work TFFT does throughout Tanzania. (see pic above of the Toyota Land Cruiser we are trying to get)
Please consider helping me get to my $5,000 goal.
If you like people, like to run and also curious about that intersection with travel - shoot me a message. I would love you to join Team TFFT for some 2025 races!
