A MESSAGE FROM Running for Smiles
I am thrilled to be running the NYC marathon this year for Happiness is Camping! 🎉 As you may or may not know, I ran the NYC marathon in 2022 for the first time after about a year and a half of beginning my “running obsession” 😂. The experience was something I’ll never forget and one that I wanted to replicate again immediately after completing it last year. The only thing was that I felt I needed something more to strive for and something that could give me more purpose for running the marathons second time🏃🏻♀️. I have always done better when my goal has to do with helping someone other than myself and I honestly can’t think of anything better than helping out a child with a terrible disease like cancer or sickle cell disease (and their families). By running for Happiness is Camping, I’ll not only be able to fulfill my desire to experience the NYC marathon again, but I’ll be able to help send these children to summer camp for free! 👏🏼
Your gift will be used to provide FREE summer camp to children with cancer/sickle cell disease and their family members. Any amount is so appreciated 🙏🏼. You will be helping me create so many smiles for these kids, their families and myself and that is why I’m “Running for Smiles” this November in the 2023 NYC marathon.
