A MESSAGE FROM Aarambh's fundraising page for Pencils of Promise
I've been extremely fortunate to receive high quality education throughout my life . As I grow older, I continue to appreciate everything this education has enabled me to achieve in life - be it personal or professional.
To contribute toward the mission of ensuring children around the globe are afforded the same opportunities many of us were, I've decided to run the NYC marathon with Pencils of Promise, the day after my 25th birthday. Pencils of Promise is an organization that builds safe and healthy learning environments, full of well-trained and supported teachers, where students can reach their full potential. They operate in Ghana, Guatemala and Laos, partnering with local communities and leadership to best understand and meet their needs. PoP also has a WASH program to provide students access to clean water, private bathrooms, and good hygiene practices. PoP is a a data-driven organization that rigorously monitors the effectiveness of their work to continuously learn and iterate.
