A MESSAGE FROM Adam
As foster parents, my wife Erica and I have seen first hand the length of time that children spend in the foster system in Cook county before achieving permanency (whether it be through returning home to their biological parents or through adoption).
CASA volunteers advocate for children in care to ensure they are receiving the necessary services and to help to navigate the complexities and potential roadblocks that run throughout the foster care system and the courts that are ultimately deciding these children's fate. Their goal is to make sure children are appropriately cared for, and they reach a stable, safe, permanent home as quickly as possible. Children in foster care have been through enough trauma, no child should have to wait 3-4 years or more to know where their forever home will be.
My goal is to raise $2,500, the cost of supporting CASA services for one child for one year. But to be honest, my true goal is to double that, or more. I appreciate your help to get there!
