A MESSAGE FROM Adam's Fundraising Page - GLASA
My name is Adam Varnas, I'm from Elmhurst IL. I've considered myself a runner since joining my middle school's cross country team in 6th grade. Running was an outlet for me to learn to challenge myself, make friends, and compete. Most importantly, it was the only sport that was no-cut and available to anyone. I've been fortunate enough to run competitively in both high school and college, and I will forever be thankful for the friendships and opportunities I've had along the way. This year I intend to complete the Chicago Marathon with Team GLASA. I've chosen GLASA because of their dedication to inclusivity and teamwork.
Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association's motto is: "Let NO ONE Sit on the SIDELINES". GLASA provides year-round adaptive sports and wellness programs, including providing all sports equipment needed to participate. Team GLASA charity runners are dedicated to train, run 26.2 miles, and raise money to support youth, adults and veterans with a physical or visual disability. I am proud to be running and raising money for GLASA in the 2023 Chicago Marathon, and humbly ask that you consider donating to my cause.
Thank you.
