A MESSAGE FROM Addie's 2026 Marathon Fundraising page
In 2025, I ran my first Chicago Marathon while raising money on behalf of Culinary Care. The moment I crossed the finish line I knew I wanted to do it again in 2026. I'll be fundraising in honor of my mom, Jeanne Martanovic, who I lost in January 2017 after a year long battle with stage 4 soft tissue sarcoma cancer. Thank you for supporting my marathon campaign (and those affected by cancer) on behalf of Culinary Care this year. This cause means more than you know and anything counts, even $1! No one diagnosed with cancer should have to live in a constant state of survival mode. My goal is $5k, which will bring unlimited meals and community compassion to five families for an entire year and I can't wait to have you join me on this journey. After training for my first Chicago Marathon last year I realized, yes, running a marathon is hard, but losing a loved one to cancer will always be harder. We can do hard things (especially with incredible people supporting us!).
