A MESSAGE FROM Aldwin's City Harvest Fundraising Page
This year I have signed up to run the NYC Marathon with a pledge to raise money for City Harvest in their focus on combatting the silent crises of access to food by many folks in New York.
Growing up in the Bronx New York myself, I know how challenging it can be to put food on the table for working families who aren't earning a high wage. With exorbitant rents, overpriced groceries and all-round expenses driven by the high demands that the big city brings, its almost an inevitable that the very basic necessity of nourishment & access to healthy meals can be compromised. The effects of the city life can often lead to depending on less affordable food options which can & will in many cases lead to many issues later in life especially to those who are predisposed to hereditary conditions.
For the past few years I personally have donated to city harvest and have also volunteered at the food storage warehouse in the Bronx.
So join me on this journey & anything you can donate will help, Thanks!
