I'm thrilled (a combination of grateful and overwhelmed tbh) to be running the 2022 New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 6.
To support my first marathon run and No Limits Cafe
... a non-profit lunch cafe employing adults with intellectual disabilities in Red Bank, New Jersey...
please click on the "Donate Today" button above.
No donation is too small, and I would sincerely appreciate your nod of support and motivation as I attempt to figure out the logistics of prepping to run 26.2 miles π€ͺ

The mission of No Limits Cafe is to empower adults with intellectual disabilities through jobs and workshops that provide job training. Currently, the cafe employs 34 adults with ID.
The people who work at No Limits Cafe, "Take pride in their jobs, have an increased sense of self-worth and learn so many new skills that make them employable at many places, not just restaurants,β says co-founder Stephanie Cartier.
The entire staff at the cafe starts every day with a dance party. Workers prepare all the food, cook and wait tables. Three neurotypical employees and Cartier provide guidance and any assistance needed.
Adults with intellectual disabilities often have the odds stacked against them in the workforce. The unemployment rate for adults with intellectual disabilities is more than twice as high as those without disabilities. Of those adults with ID who are employed, almost all are underemployed (they are not full time and earn less than the minimum wage.)
No Limits Cafe, co-founded by Cartier and her husband and inspired by their daughter who has Down syndrome, aims to take an active role in changing that statistic.
"Eat Well. Do good."
