On May 18, 2019 I will join the entire organization and thousands of others from the community to ride in the Eagles Autism Challenge. This event is dedicated to raising funds for innovative research and programs to address the complex issues presented by the condition of autism. By providing the necessary resources to thought leaders, we can advance scientific breakthroughs. All participant-raised funds, 100 %, will go directly towards autism research and/or programs at beneficiary partners, as together we shift from autism awareness to action. If you know me, you know that family, friends, exercise, and certainly my career working daily to serve children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder are the centers of my universe. You may also know that due to my own differences, running is challenging for me. Participating in this bike race allows me to marry my passions for bettering the lives of the children I serve and fitness and being able to bike gives me the opportunity to tackle personal fitness challenges while doing so for a worthwhile cause. I know we all support many valuable and meaningful causes already, but please consider donating to just one more (that happens to mean so much to me).
