A MESSAGE FROM Allison is running the Chicago Marathon!
Hello Friends and Family!
This October I will be running the 2023 Chicago Marathon! Why, you may ask? In the past few years I have started running more, and after a few half-marathons, I thought, why not? I have been diligently training and sweating all summer and I feel excited and nervous to take on this huge challenge.
I’ll be running to support an amazing organization called Every Mother Counts (EMC). They work to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, everywhere. Their mission is to make maternal health accessible to everyone across the world, including here in the US.
Giving birth and becoming a mother is hard. In the US, maternal death rates are sadly rising. I am proud to be supporting their cause and I personally am running for mothers everywhere. If you're a mother, you know how hard it can be, and I see you. If you aren't a mother, thank you for supporting and loving the mothers in your life. No one can do it alone.
