A MESSAGE FROM 2022 New York City Marathon - Amanda Bright running on behalf of CVTC
Hi friends, family, friends of family, family of friends!
As a survivor of violent crime, I felt, and still feel, the impact of having crisis support available to me after being attacked when I was 21. Running has been a huge part of my coping process as well, so I'm grateful to have been selected by the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) for their charity racing team in the 2022 New York City Marathon on November 6. This will also be my 10th marathon, so I'm excited to celebrate this milestone for a multitude of reasons.
CVTC was my charity of choice because they offer services, free of charge, to those who need a lifeline in similar situations. Their marathon team is comprised of medical professionals, crisis providers, and survivors of violent crime. To fundraise in support of an organization that shows up for survivors and supports their long term healing is an overwhelming honor.
Thanks so much for donating - it means so much to me, and your impact will be felt by those who need it most.
With love,
Amanda
