A MESSAGE FROM ANGELA KELLEY, MD -- RUNNING4RESOLVE
Hi! I'm Angela, an OB/GYN and fertility physician at Aspire Fertility in Austin, Texas. I'm also a proud member of RESOLVE's inaugural NYC Marathon team.
Infertility is a medical condition that affects 1 in 8 couples. Chances are, you have friends, family members, or colleagues who have experienced fertility challenges. Believe me when I say that infertility is HARD. It's a yo-yo between hope and disappointment, good news and bad news. Never mind the financial, emotional, and physical burden of infertility treatments, and the isolation that patients may experience throughout this process. Thank goodness for RESOLVE.
I applaud RESOLVE's mission to raise infertility awareness, promote family-building legislation, improve access to medically necessary treatments such as IVF, and provide community-based support to those who are facing their own fertility challenges.
On November 7, 2021, I will be running 26.2 miles, through the five boroughs of NYC, in honor of the strength and resilience of my patients and everyone in the infertility community.
