A MESSAGE FROM Ann Marie
A close friend recently asked me why I decided to run the marathon again and my answer was very simple.
After living through 2020, a year where participating in sports was taken away from my kids because of the pandemic, I saw for the first time what being on a team really means to them and to us as a family. This made me think about families who face these obstacles every year.
That's where Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) comes in. GLASA seeks to make sports all-inclusive by providing year-round adaptive sports and wellness programs for youth, adults, and veterans with a physical or visual disability--including providing all of the sports equipment an athlete may need to participate. As a marathon charity runner for GLASA, I'm helping raise money to support their efforts. Thank you for helping me support GLASA's incredible mission.
