Hi everyone!
This October, I’ll be taking on the Chicago Marathon, all 26.2 miles of it. As I’ve been training, I’ve realized that this run is about so much more than a finish line or a personal best.
I’m running to support Girls on the Run, an organization that teaches young girls that their potential is limitless. I want every girl to know that she is strong, that her voice matters, and that she can navigate life's hurdles with confidence.
To keep that mission close to my heart, I’ll be wearing a special shirt on race day that features the name of every single person who donates. I want to literally carry your support with me from the start line to the finish.
When the kilometres get tough (I’ve been told to watch out for that 'infamous wall' at mile 20!), looking down and seeing your names is what’s going to keep me moving. Whether it’s $5 or $50, every bit helps provide the sneakers, the curriculum, and the community these girls deserve.
Thank you for being part of my support crew and for helping me empower the next generation of girls!
