In the early 2000s my grandmother was diagnosed with Fallopian Tube Cancer. Thought she fought hard, she eventually passed away from this disease. In 2020 my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Thankfully, with the help from doctors and the community she was able to make a full recovery! In 2021 I was diagnosed with RA. While not cancer, I know too well how diseases can have a huge effect on your life. Although there are hard days, I am more determined than ever to show that we are not defined by the diseases we have. I was now given the opportunity to run in order to support the amazing organization Sharsheret. Sharsheret has helped thousands of women who have been diagnosed with various cancers. I have known so many women who have succeeded in their fight against cancer with the help from Sharsheret. We are one community and we help our sisters when they need.
