Hello All,
I am so excited to announce that I will be participating in the 2024 New York Marathon this November 3rd. Being a runner both competitively and recreationally for around 10 years now has been the biggest blessing of my life. Running has taught me resilience, healthy habits, and humility (and It continues to humble me daily lol).
Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about the city that I live. New York has taught me many lessons both about life and about myself. It has broken me down and built me up, It has provided me with the tools needed to succeed, and it continuously reminds me of my goals and dreams. Running a marathon has always been a life goal of mine, and this past year when I attended the NY Marathon as a spectator, I immediately knew this was the marathon in which I would complete my goal.There was not a moment throughout the day in which my eyes were dry, the support and display of humanity throughout the race was something I still think about to this day. For me, this race is more than 26.2 miles, It is a tribute to the city who continues to raise me up, and a salute to the people in my corner who constantly remind me of who I am and cheer me on through all seasons of life.
I chose the Think Pink Rocks charity in honor of all of women in my life, and in the lives of those around me who have battled or are continuing their battle with Breast Cancer. I am dedicating this run to all the strong females in my life who have taught me strength and resilience and continue to show up with grace and compassion in all that they do, no matter the circumstances they face. Raising awareness for early Breast Cancer detection and Women's Health is something I am passionate about, proud to support and excited to dedicate my race to.
I am beyond thankful to everyone who chooses to support me on this journey both financially or by simply cheering me along in the process. Your support means the world and I couldn't do this without each and every one of you. If you want to make the trip up on November 3rd I would love to see your faces in the sidelines (Ill be the one crawling through the finish line) and would love to celebrate with you afterwards.
