As a foster mom and running enthusiast, the course I'm taking in 2026 is to run the Chicago Marathon for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Cook County. This organization supports youth in care by advocating on their behalf for what is in their best interest. This means helping them access the services (therapy, medical, educational) they need, find forever homes, and serving as a dedicated support system for children who haven't had that consistently in their lives.
