Our 5-year-old son Landen was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at 22 months old. Our little boy is a non-verbal, autistic child who has difficulty with sensory processing, overstimulation, sleep, socialization, and cognition. He is also funny, brave, loving, sweet, energetic and the happiest little boy I know.
In addition to fundraising for the 2024 Eagles Autism Challenge we are raising money to support innovative research and programs at the Childrenβs Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) Center for Autism Research to revolutionize clinical care and support for individuals with ASD and their families from infancy through adulthood.
CHOP makes a difference. CHOP cares for more than 10,000 patients with autism each year in almost every clinical area, and teams from our Center for Autism Research and Autism Integrated Care Program β which include rehabilitation therapists, developmental pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, geneticists, psychiatrists, advance practice nurses, social workers, computer scientists and many others β have led breakthroughs for children and families, from making earlier diagnosis possible to improving therapies and access to services.
Together we can take action for autism by providing the necessary resources to thought leaders, we can advance scientific breakthroughs that support an individualized approach to support the unique needs of each patient, at each stage of life.
I hope you will consider sharing our story and/or donating and help us support groundbreaking and innovative autism research and care programs. 100% of our raised funds will go directly towards autism research and/or programs at CHOP, as together we shift from autism awareness to action.
