Over one-third of children under the age of 18 in the United States are affected by childhood obesity, with higher prevalence in BIPOC populations.
To that end, I'm running the 2023 NYC Marathon on November 5th in support of Wellness in the Schools ("WITS"), a National non-profit that teaches kids healthy habits to learn and live better. WITS partners with school districts to provide nutrition and fitness education, healthy scratch-cooked meals, and active recess periods.
As the son and brother of two former rockstar teachers, supporting students through this program is an absolute no brainer!!
