Hi, I’m Brandi Poort, and I am a Police Officer with the Milwaukee Police Department. I am so proud to be running the 2025 Chicago Marathon in support of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. This incredible organization provides vital assistance to the families of officers who have been killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty. As someone who serves in law enforcement, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly a routine call can turn into tragedy—and I’ve felt the heartbreak of losing fellow officers. If something ever happened to me, this is the kind of organization that would step up to support my loved ones. I’m running to honor the fallen, support the survivors, and give back to those who give everything. Thank you for standing behind me—and behind the heroes who protect and serve.
