A MESSAGE FROM Christian's Crew
In October 2020, our son Christian was diagnosed autistic.
Christian's Crew is organized by his teachers at the Goddard School in Skippack, PA. Its purpose is raising awareness and funds for autism research and care programs through the Eagles Autism Challenge.
One of my teachers, Miss Asia, was kind enough to design t-shirts and masks for our group and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. My family is so touched that on such short notice so many teachers and family members will join us, the entire Eagles organization and thousands of others from the community in participating in the Eagles Autism Challenge on Saturday, August 21st.
My family will be forever grateful to these teachers for having the courage to tell any parent, let alone their boss, that there were severe concerns about developmental delays with his son.
The compassion, care, kindness, and respect shown by the teachers each and every day, not only to my own child, but to every child in our care, gave my family the confidence to work through this otherwise incredibly heartbreaking diagnosis. In my six years here, I have seen firsthand how these teachers operate a classroom. I knew that the teachers here, while not special educators, have given their all to so many children who have had various delays or special needs.
100% of participant-raised funds go directly towards the Eagles Autism Foundation. I hope you will consider making a donation towards my fundraising goal to help make a difference in the autism community.
We look forward to sharing photos and videos of Christian’s Crew next weekend as together we take action for autism, not only in Philadelphia, but around the world.
