We Run We Rise is a network of locally-led youth running clubs across 16 African countries, using running, mentorship, and life skills education to help youth ages 8–14 build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging during a critical development stage of childhood. Today, WRWR reaches more than 50,500 children through 1,252+ running clubs and 2,845+ trained coaches across 16 countries.
I’m running for We Run We Rise because I know firsthand how much being part of a sport can shape who you become. Before I was a runner, I spent years playing soccer. It gave me the opportunity to challenge myself, work toward goals, build discipline, and most importantly, feel a sense of belonging and pride in being part of a team. Now, as a runner, I’ve found many of those same things through the sport.
Running has taught me the value of setting challenging goals, staying disciplined, and pushing myself to reach my potential. I believe every young person should have the opportunity to experience what sport can offer, both on and off the field. That’s what makes running for We Run We Rise so meaningful to me. I want to help give kids the same opportunity to find confidence, connection, and a community through sport that has meant so much to me.
$62 can support one child in a running club for a full year, while $1,500 can support an entire club for a year. Donations of any size, encouragement, and sharing this page are all incredibly appreciated. Thank you for supporting me and We Run We Rise!
