A MESSAGE FROM Cait's Miles for Mental Health
Please help me hit my goal of raising $7000 for mental health awareness and suicide prevention!! I will be running in honor of Fred Marion, who was a fun-filled, loving, supportive, and genuine husband, father, brother, & friend, as well as Andrew Walker, a similarly amazing, lively individual and supportive friend. While I'll be completing this marathon in honor of Fred and Andrew, I will also be running it for the support of every family, friend, and loved one battling mental illness.
1 in 5 Americans will experience a mental health illness in a given year. On top of that, suicide is one of the leading causes of death in America. By running these 26.2 miles and raising money for Mental Health America, I hope we can continue to destigmatize the topic of mental health, provide better education around it, & ensure that everyone has the resources & ability to seek help. All proceeds will go to Mental Health America of Greater Houston which serves as an education and advocacy organization focused on shaping the mental health of people and communities in the areas of children and education, integrated health care, veterans, and community education.
No donation is too small!!! I appreciate every last bit you are willing to give. If you cannot donate but would like to support, please take time to think about or check in on a friend or loved one who may be struggling. A simple text can go a long way.
