In October 2026, I’ll be running the Chicago Marathon in support of the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. As a Pediatric Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic, this mission is especially close to my heart. I have witnessed firsthand how a diagnosis of a brain or spinal cord tumor can instantly change a child’s world and the lives of their families. The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation provides vital, year-round programs for families facing these diagnoses—from the moment of diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and even bereavement. Training for a marathon is challenging, but it’s nothing compared to what these children and their families endure. Your support means the world to me.
