Hey Everyone!
As most of you know, Tanzania and The Foundation for Tomorrow ( TFFT ) are extremely important to me. It all started in 2006 when I volunteered at the Nkoaranga orphanage in Tanzania. I fell in love with the country and the people and knew that this place would be a part of my life forever. I learned about TFFT soon after and have been inspired by their passion and mission ever since. The Foundation for Tomorrow provides quality education to vulnerable and orphaned children in Tanzania. They believe that geography should not dictate the quality or quantity of education children receive.
In 2016, I began sponsoring Angel which has given me a greater purpose in life. Whenever I get a chance, I like to challenge myself and help raise money for TFFT. TeamTFFT was created to raise money through sports, like running. The money that is raised through these various actives goes right back to the The Foundation For Tomorrow, insuring the scholars get quality education, health care, sociological and psychological care as well as teacher training for educators at the local government schools. In 2018, I participated in RideTZ which is a 400 mile bike ride across Tanzania with the goal of raising money and awareness, and it was the adventure of a lifetime. In 2019, I ran the Kilimanjaro half marathon without ever running before and I loved it. I then ran it again in 2022, and almost doubled my fundraising goal because of the phenomenal people in my life. I will be running the half marathon again but this time I'm running with a group of 13 inspiring women. Our goal as a group is to raise enough money to build a well at the Learning Center, which will be opening in June of this year. The Learning Center will provide learning resources to six distinct communities including a library, a computer training lab, a teacher training center, a higher education scholarship program and much more. The well will be a fundamental asset to the Learning Center and in turn, the whole community. I have included a link to the website so you can learn more about it. No donation is too small.
