Hi,

    As many of you know, back in January 2020 I started to make a lifestyle change for my health. After losing a significant amount of weight, I got into running after having been given the opportunity to run in place of my younger brother in a 2021 Spartan run in South Padre Island. After that experience, my love for running grew and I decided to join All Out Race Club that year. They motivated me to train with them to do my first Half Marathon. Along the way I got to meet a lot new people and made many new friends that have the same enthusiasm and passion as I do for running. I want to continue this journey by completing several full marathons and eventually a Full Iron Man. 

      In 2021, after training for 3 months, I ran and completed my first Half Marathon in South Padre Island and have since completed a total of 5 Half Marathons in Texas from November 2021 - February 2022. Earlier this year I started training to complete my first full marathon in Chicago and while this marathon seemed like a day far away, it came in the blink of an eye. I've followed the Chicago Marathon training plan combined with my own strength/weight training rigorously to make sure that I can physically and mentally handle the stress of running the full 26.2 miles non stop.

        I was given the opportunity to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon by helping CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Cook County to raise funds for their organization. CASA is a non-profit organization that helps out many abused or neglected children in the foster care system. 

"Run the first 10 miles with your training. Run the second 10 miles with your mind. And run the last 6.2 with your heart."
