Circle of Care provides emotional and financial assistance to children and families, from day of diagnosis through treatment and beyond, with programs and services that meet the unique and challenging needs of pediatric cancer treatment. We can't change the diagnosis, but we can bring a measure of relief along the journey. We can change moments... We can let families know they're not alone... We can be with them on their journey at crucial points.
As a former Division 3 National Champion in swimming, I know all about the training and discipline required to train and compete, but I have never run a marathon. I am not built for running; especially not 26.1 miles. The NYC Marathon will be my greatest physical and mental challenge to date.
For some reason, running a marathon has always been on my bucket list, and now I have the opportunity to do it for a great cause. I was taken aback by all the work Circle of Care has done to help kids in the Hartford and Fairfield County area facing cancer, and I am eager for the chance to help.
Help me raise $2,500 for Circle of Care and make a difference in the lives of families affected by such a horrible disease. My plan is to cross the finish line wearing a shirt with all the names of those who support me by giving; I can't do this alone. Please support my fundraising efforts for the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon. Proceeds raised will go towards programs and services, like Bags of Love, which provide critical support during and after treatment.
