A MESSAGE FROM CF_Fearless’ Race for a Cure
Hello! My name is Lucas Allen, and I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 18 months old. My whole life I have grown up being told that I couldn't do things, constantly battling the what ifs of living with Cystic Fibrosis. I have always been an active individual, but during the pandemic I decided to take up distance running. Since then, I have run over 2,000 miles completing an 8k, a 10k, and 4 Half Marathons, and 2 Marathons. After achieving my goal of running a marathon in November of 2023, I have decided to take it a step further by running in my first WORLD MAJOR!!!
When it comes to the opportunity I have before me; not only can I better my own health by running, but I can also have a positive influence on the health of the 70k other patients world wide. I believe it is my job as a healthy CF patient to advocate and fight for those who can’t! My goal is to fundraise 5,000 between now and race day November 3rd, 2024.
