A MESSAGE FROM Chaz
Hello!
My name is Chaz Miller and I’m a community journalist at ABC13 in Houston.
I’ll be running in the 2020 Chevron Houston Marathon as part of our exclusive broadcast of the event and I’ve decided to use this awesome opportunity to help raise some money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
If you aren’t familiar with Cystic Fibrosis, it’s a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and over time, limits the ability to breathe.
There is no cure for CF, but they have made some amazing strides over the last few decades. In 1984, the life expectancy was less than 20-years-old. The current life expectancy is over 40-years-old with the great people at CFF working tirelessly to make that number go even higher.
My mom worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for most of my youth and I have a couple of friends whose young son was diagnosed with CF last year, so the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation holds a special place in my heart.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this and hope you’ll consider making a contribution.
