Thank you for being here.
As a Rockford Police Department LEO spouse and Loves Park Police Department LEO myself, I would love to rally local support from friends/family of our sister Departments for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
When I’m out running I often find myself thinking of the tragic losses of police lives to violence, gunfire and suicide. The aftermath and effects on family, friends, and coworkers after such a loss weighs heavy on my mind. I put myself and my family in their shoes, and just run.
The difficulties and mental struggle LEO’s face due to the job makes fitness imperative. Fitness is our greatest support to mental health and physical durability, which are both crucial to LEO career longevity. Please help me in my mission to combine fitness promotion and community support for these fallen Officers and their families!
Your donation will mean something more than a Venmo, debit card transaction or check sent in the mail. I will display every donor name on my blue line sleeves during the race, so your monetary efforts are personally brought to Chicago and running the miles alongside me!
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to honoring the lives of our fallen Chicago Police heroes. The Foundation provides support and financial assistance to the families of Chicago Police Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
On November 4th, 2024 Officer Enrique Martinez was tragically lost to gunfire and in response Chicago Police Memorial Foundation provided his family with $60,000 to aid in financial burden.
In honor of Enrique Martinez, Patrolman James Crowley, Officer Luis Huesca, Officer Areanah Preston, Officer Andres Vasquez Lasso, Krystal Rivera, & all fallen LEO’s.
