A MESSAGE FROM Craig is Running a Marathon 2.0
I am humbled and honored to have been chosen to run the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon as part of Team Sandy Hook Promise in support of its mission to educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes, and communities.
Since 2020 gun violence has become the leading cause of death of American children and teenagers. All money raised through my marathon effort will go directly to Sandy Hook Promise and support its proven, evidence-informed Know the Signs programs and sensible, bipartisan school and gun safety legislation. By helping young people and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others we can help prevent more tragedies.
Please join me as I run another marathon to help protect America’s children from gun violence, and to remember the precious lives that were lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
