My name is Dacia and I'm a philanthropic athlete on a mission to marry my passions for fundraising and fitness. I moved to Carbondale, CO from Belfast, ME in spring 2018 and live a happy & simple life with my husband, three shelter dogs, and a cat. I’ve completed four half marathons (one being on trail), one 30K, a handful of 5K races, and am currently training for a year of running:

I landed my dream job two years ago as the Development Director at Colorado Animal Rescue (C.A.R.E.), a non-profit animal care organization in Glenwood Springs. My career at C.A.R.E. has ignited a love for connecting with our neighbors & their pets, community events, and giving back to those in need.
I'm honored to be running for the Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) at the NYC Marathon. Over 103,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for a lifesaving transplant and relying on us to register as organ donors. I value CKF's commitment to eliminating the wait for a transplant by inspiring and educating everyone to register as organ donors, like me! This incredible life has led me to become the athlete I am and I don’t take that for granted. I want everyone to have the opportunity to dream big and achieve their goals.
