I am fundraising to support a cause that is incredibly close to my heart - CASA of Cook County. As a former foster child who experienced the challenges of navigating the system, I can attest to the profound impact CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) had on my life from ages 13 to 16. CASA of Cook County plays a crucial role in advocating for the rights and well-being of children in the foster care system. These dedicated volunteers serve as the voice for children who often find themselves in challenging and uncertain circumstances. From ensuring access to education and healthcare to providing emotional support, CASA volunteers make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children. I am living proof of the positive impact CASA can have. Their unwavering support during my formative years left an indelible mark on my journey.
