A MESSAGE FROM David's Fundraising Page
Taking the leap to sign up for the marathon this year was something I thought about for a while. If I was going to commit putting my all in, I wanted to have a cause that I truly believed in so that I could give back to others through this experience. Throughout my life, I've had the chance to visit several holocaust museums, hear survivors speak live, and most recently had the honor of visiting Anne Frank's house in Amsterdam. Each of these events, along with reading stories of the atrocities of the Holocaust, made Team Blue Card stand out to me as the perfect charity that aligned with my values and how I want to give back. Many survivors live in below the poverty line today. Team Blue Card's mission is to help the remaining survivors in any way they can, ranging from medical assistance, emergency assistance, continuing education on the holocaust, and so much more. To be able to help give back to survivors, means the world to me. While asking people in my network for money is something that is foreign to me, for this cause I truly think is going to perfect use. Thank you for reading!
