Created
in 2011, the original Joggin’ for Frogmen 5k Run/Walk was held in San Diego on
July 29, 2012. The race marked the one-year anniversary of the Extortion 17
helicopter tragedy in Afghanistan, a tribute to the 30 American warriors and 1
working dog lost that fateful day.
Joggin’ for Frogmen has since expanded to several annual races across the United States. Today, Travis Manion Foundation, a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status, is the exclusive beneficiary of Joggin’ for Frogmen.
