I’m thrilled to share that this March, I’ll be running the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon as part of Point of Pride’s charity team, alongside other trans and gender-diverse athletes. As a trans person, being part of this team is profoundly meaningful to me, not only because we’re raising funds for lifesaving gender-affirming care, but because running itself has been a source of strength, healing, and clarity in my life.
Running has carried me through some of my hardest moments. It has given me space for inner peace, reflection, and the freedom to exist fully in my body. Training mile after mile has taught me resilience, patience, and the belief that I can move through challenges one steady step at a time. Running this marathon as my authentic self feels like a celebration of that journey—and a commitment to supporting others on theirs.
That’s why I’m honored to fundraise for Point of Pride, an organization providing trans people with access to life-changing, gender-affirming health and wellness services. Since 2016, they’ve awarded $4,420,000 in financial aid and supported 30,000 people across all 50 states and 127 countries. Their vision is simple and deeply needed: a world where trans and gender-diverse people of all ages can see a bright, safe future for themselves.
As I take on this iconic 26.2-mile course from Dodger Stadium to Century City, cheered on by thousands I’m making every mile meaningful by supporting those who need access to care most. Your donation directly helps trans youth and adults receive affirming services they would otherwise go without.
I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Truly, any amount makes a difference.
Thank you for uplifting me, supporting this journey, and helping Point of Pride continue its life-changing work. It means more than I can say.
With gratitude,
Donal Donovan
