A MESSAGE FROM Eddy's Fundraising Page
Children diagnosed with autism are often challenged by language, play, social and behavioral issues. My one and only son has five sisters. Four girls came before him and all of them reached their development milestones without concern. That did not happen for my sweet baby boy. I noticed quickly he wasn’t responding to his name, had very little speech, and wasn’t interested in playing with others. He had explosive tantrums and meltdowns. Kyen was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder a few weeks before his 3rd birthday. He is 5 years old now. Early intervention has helped and continues to support him to achieve his personal best. He brings so much joy to our family. Kyen can easily make others smile with his wit and charm. I just want my son to be happy, healthy and live a meaningful life. His journey is going to be different, not less than the typical. It’s important for me to share the message of awareness, acceptance and inclusion. This year Kyen will be participating in the Eagles Autism Challenge himself alongside our family. We are excited for him to be part of this special experience. We need your support to reach our team goal of $1000 and assist those currently affected as well as future generations. 100% of participant-raised funds will go directly towards autism research and programs at a coalition of leading institutions including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Drexel University, Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. Every single cent you donate will help make an impact in the lives of those affected by Autism. Please support Team Kyen’s Krew. Thank you!
