A MESSAGE FROM Francesca's Fundraising Page
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Cook County is a nonprofit organization that provides advocacy and support to children in the foster care system. CASA volunteers, known as CASAs, are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of these children, ensuring they are placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.
A CASA volunteer plays a crucial role in the life of a child in foster care. They get to know the child and their family, gather information from everyone involved in the child’s life, and make recommendations to the court about what they believe is in the child’s best interest. CASAs also ensure that the child’s needs are being met and that they are receiving appropriate services.
Unfortunately, only 11% of children in Cook County’s foster care system currently have access to a CASA Advocate. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you can help CASA of Cook County provide more advocates for these vulnerable children, giving them a voice and a chance for a brighter future.
I am committed to raising $2,500 by this October, and I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Any amount you can contribute will make a difference in the lives of children in our community. Thank you so much for your generosity and support. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children in need. ♥️
