I run my best when I have a clear purpose.

I’m excited to share that I’ll be running the 2027 Los Angeles Marathon with Soccer Without Borders.

I told myself a long time ago that if I was going to run a marathon while fundraising for a charity, it had to be for something I genuinely believed in. I never wanted to raise money just to get a bib. The organization, the mission, and the work had to connect with who I am and the kind of work I want to keep doing.

Soccer Without Borders comes down to three things.

1.Community
2.Youth development

3.The beautiful game

All three line up closely with I’m already doing and the communities I want to continue building. 

Their purpose uses soccer as a vehicle for growth, opportunity, belonging, and positive change.

Over the next several months, I’ll be training, fundraising, and doing my part to get more people behind the work Soccer Without Borders is doing with young people through the game.

To my family, friends, and everyone who supports me along the way, thank you.

The purpose is clear.
