A MESSAGE FROM Amanda Berling's Fundraising Page
Hello Supporters!
I began running in sixth grade, while trying to keep up with my dad and older sister and it has been a passion of mine for most of my life. I have run two prior marathons, Atlanta '22 and Philadelphia '22, many half-marathons, and several long distance relays.
I am excited for my next running challenge - the NYC marathon - to assist an incredible organization helping members of the military transition to civilian life. I am honored to represent The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation, named after my home town's hero from Winchester, MA, who dedicated his life to serving and protecting others.
Your support for me and for the Special Operations community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Amanda
About the GDMF:
The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation was established to help ease the transition from military to civilian work for the Special Operations Community. We accomplish this by providing scholarships to current or former Special Operations Professionals, from all branches of the military, for traditional education or vocational/professional training. The foundation has awarded scholarships to 117 deserving individuals, totaling over $875,000 to date. Donating to the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation is a great way to give back to the Special Operations Community, who give so much of themselves for our nation and for all of us. Thank you for considering a donation to our scholarship fund!
