1 am back for year 2 with MHA of Greater Houston. This time around I'm tackling my 2nd full marathon! What makes it even more special is a few of us from run group have created a team, CRA4MHA. MHA of Greater Houston’s mission is to “drive community solutions to promote mental health for all.” With all the chaos going on in the world, in this nation we live in, Mental Health care needs to be at the forefront. Please help us, to help you, your loved ones, friends and your surrounding communities to gain access and the necessary resources to mental health care. Personally, it took me many years to understand and know how, why, when to seek for help-for healing. It wasn’t until I became an adult and lived it that I realized my past had affected my future in so many ways. It had affected my emotions, thoughts, interactions with people, most importantly, my relationships. Taking my first step took a phone call, one of the most scariest, but the most rewarding. All you need to do is look within, look around. You are not the only one. Take that first step. Help be the first step for your loved ones, your friends, family. The road is not easy and neither is life. Your Mental Health requires just as much exercise as your physical health. As I train for my 2nd full marathon, I will definitely be training my mental health as well. Your gift makes a huge impact. No donation is too small.
