A MESSAGE FROM Danielle Runs The NYC Half!
Hi Everyone! 

As some of you may know, my Aunt Eileen passed away this October after a 5 year battle with Ovarian Cancer. My aunt had one of the most beautiful and positive spirits I have ever known, and I am proud to be running (maybe more like jogging) the NYC Half Marathon for T.E.A.L. in her honor.

Currently, there is NO 100% accurate screening test for Ovarian Cancer and symptoms are commonly mistaken for GI issues. These factors cause most patients to receive a delayed diagnosis, where the cancer has progressed to advanced stages. T.E.A.L. works to fundraise for Ovarian Cancer research to find a screening test and also build a community for patients and survivors. This community was especially helpful for my Aunt Eileen, who found so much comfort through their support groups and events. Please help me raise money to help further T.E.A.L.'s mission!
