A MESSAGE FROM Ana Runs for OUR Girl Scouts

This year, I am challenging myself to complete the Eversource Hartford Marathon 5K Charity Race in Honor of our Hartford Girl Scout Troop 10057 and in support of our Girl Scouts Gold Award. I will symbolically carry their names on my gear during the race - as a reminder that OUR Girls Can Do Anything, including reaching the Girl Scout Gold Award!

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the mark of the truly remarkable—proof that not only can a girl make a difference, but that she already has. High school-aged Girl Scouts who earn the Gold Award tackle issues that are dear to them and drive lasting change in their communities and beyond. Their projects address big issues, including mental health awareness, aiding the homeless through the pandemic, improving access for women in STEM careers, and inclusion in Connecticut public schools’ curriculum.

These young women will change our world. Each year, Girl Scouts of Connecticut honors a group of Gold Award girls who have maintained a high level of academic success, remained involved in her community, and display excellent leadership skills with a college scholarship.

I am running and raising funds to support these scholarships, and I am asking for your help. Your contribution will help a girl further build the courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. They can, I believe they can! On behalf of my girls and girls everywhere, THANK YOU!
