I am thrilled to be
running the iconic New York City Marathon this November as a first-time
marathon runner, and I'm doing it all in support of an incredible cause: Red Door Community formerly known as Gilda’s Club NYC.
Red Door Community
serves EVERYONE and ANYONE impacted by cancer: newly diagnosed, patients in
treatment, post-treatment, and their families as well as the bereft. They
provide FREE essential resources, emotional support and a sense of community to
individuals and families navigating the challenges of cancer.
Cancer has affected too
many people I know. In fact, I recently read a statistic that stated half of
us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime. That’s one too many and why
I’ve committed to 26.2 miles – to honor survivors and thrivers, remember those
we’ve lost and offer up support, encouragement and inspiration to anyone in our
community who has been impacted by this disease.
Please consider
contributing to benefit Red Door Community, an organization making a true
difference. Every gift counts. Thank you in advance for joining with me
on this journey and for your unwavering support.
I hope to see you on
November 3rd!
