Hello everyone. I’m Jason Bohenek and I’m so excited to be running AGAIN with Team Allied Services in the 2024 New York City Marathon.
I said
last year that I would be one and done, but here I am preparing to put in the
months of training again for a truly rewarding cause.
First, a little about myself: I currently reside in Scranton, PA with my wife Rosemary and sons Daniel and Jacob. They are my biggest fans and without them I would not be able to get through this long journey. The sacrifices they make revolving their schedules around my running along with their continued love and support help fuel me on this tough challenge. I also want to give a special thanks to my parents, who continually support me in everything I do.
As I
noted last year, Allied Services also has a special place in my heart. Years
ago, their wonderful staff was able to provide therapy services for my son who
has since thrived in life. Also,
their Skilled Nursing facility provided excellent care for my brother Dean, who
passed away from cancer in 2007.
I am
so lucky to be sponsored by my new employer, Mohegan Pennsylvania. I am truly
humbled to be able to represent such a wonderful organization. Mohegan has been
a long-time sponsor of Allied Services and their efforts to help change the
lives for the better of kids and adults with disabilities in Northeastern
Pennsylvania. Thank you to Allied and Mohegan
Pennsylvania for this great opportunity.
Will
you pledge your support for pediatrics? Allied Services cares for 1,200 children each year. They
provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy treatments
for various conditions, including autism, brain injury, cerebral palsy, complex
regional pain syndrome, developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida,
and torticollis.
100% of donations will support specialized rehab services for
children at Allied Services, a non-profit health system serving Northeast and
Central Pennsylvania. Your support will:
·
Sustain specialized rehab programs for children
with disabilities in the Wyoming Valley.
·
Make cutting-edge rehab technologies available
to children with disabilities.
·
Provide access to care for underinsured and
uninsured children with disabilities.
For every $35 donation, you can receive an official moisture-wicking team
shirt.
