A MESSAGE FROM Del’s Chicago Marathon
I am so excited to be running the 2023 Chicago Marathon for Good Sports - a national nonprofit that gives kids in low-income communities greater access to sports and physical activity. Good Sports works with companies like Nike and Under Armour to donate brand-new equipment, apparel and footwear to children and youth organizations across the country. I have been fortunate, as many of you, to have been influenced by the positive effects of sports. I can still hear my dad revving up the radio to get me psyched for my AYSO soccer games. In my (rather short) adult life, I have used the many skills learned in my years of competitive swimming and running to succeed in so many areas of life. Unfortunately, the cost to play keeps kids in need from experiencing these benefits. Every dollar raised will help Good Sports donate more equipment and create equitable access in youth sports!
