I'm proud and excited to be running the NYC Marathon for the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation, the only charity currently focused solely on funding the development of drugs to prevent, treat, and cure Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia and affects over 10% of the population of people over aged 65, meaning that most of us will at one point know someone affected by the disease.
Even though I've run several marathons, this one is going to be special, because I'm running it with my sister for the first time. Our grandmother died from Alzheimer's, so supporting a charity that is working hard for a cure is really important to us. You can read more about the ADDF here - https://www.alzdiscovery.org/.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help me reach my fundraising goal!
