Ellen Beggs & her 3 month battle with Ovarian Cancer. New Years Eve 9 years ago my family's life changed FOREVER. After a bunch of tests, it was determined that it was cancer. My mom chose to do chemo to shrink the tumor so it could be able to be removed later on. Sadly, at the end of March the tumor shifted closing off the intestines. It was determined that no more could be done. Upon discussing what to do next, I asked my mom what she wanted. All she replied is " I just want to live" On April 8th 2016, 2 days after I left to get my family my mom passed away. The funeral was, well, a funeral. But what was AWESOME was the people that came out to the reception at the Eagles. So many people knew my mom! She was loved so very much. In September of that year many of us rode out to the cabin at Pine Lake MN. We held a celebration of life to honor & remember. We planted a tree with a plaque, that 9 years later, is still there to remind us to not count the days, but make the days count. ~ we miss and love you so much~ #ellensangels #teal #Fcancer #imissmymom
